Nerja Hires New Attendant to Improve Parking Services

NERJA Council has announced it is hiring a new attendant to improve parking.

The council said the new attendant would help improve parking services in Nerja.
According to Nerja council, the move to hire a new parking attendant was voted through at a council meeting.
The news was announced by Councillor for Municipal Services, Gema Garcia, who said: “It is essential to strengthen staff, with a new municipal parking attendant, given the expected increase in tourist occupancy in the coming months in our municipality, and the adoption of protocols against the Covid, in order to continue offering a quality service.”
Councillor for Human Resources, Angela Diaz, added that this week the selection process will begin to fill two municipal parking attendant roles.
She said: “In this way we meet the commitment of the governing group to continue to improve the surveillance service provided, for the benefit of the people of Nerja and tourists.”
The news comes after Nerja council has taken a step forward to create a charity centre.
According to Nerja council, the Mayor of Nerja, Jose Alberto Armijo, has taken a step towards allowing the transfer of a municipal plot of land to the charity, Taller de Amistad.
The council said the plot, “located on Avenida de Las Palmeras, and which was proposed by the association among those offered by the council,” will be used to create a centre offering 60 places.
