BRENDAN RODGERS Says He Has No Interest In The Vacant Tottenham Manager’s Job

When Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham last week there was a lot of talk about who would replace him, with several well-known top-level managers currently unemployed, it seemed strange that the names of employed managers would again come into the mix, but, they did.

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers was a name that regularly cropped up during the last week, but on Tuesday (April 27) he finally put that one to bed by stating clearly that he had no interest in the job, a reply also reported by Sky Sports News.

With The Foxes riding high and in the top four with a place in the Champion’s League in sight, and already in this season’s FA Cup Final,  one would have to question exactly why Rodgers would want to join a team that is only just in the running for a Europa League spot, currently in seventh in the premiership.

After winning against Crystal Palace on Monday night, his team is seven points clear of fifth-placed West Ham with five Premier League games remaining.

When asked about the Tottenham link, Brendan said, “Tottenham is a fantastic club, it’s one of the big clubs in this country, it’s a huge club, but my focus is purely here. I’m at a world-class training facility, the project we’re in here, we still want to develop, we still have a lot of work to do here. I have a great connection with the players and the board, and we have plans to keep progressing”, as reported by skysports.com.
