Vaccination drive intensifies in Alfaz

GETTING PREPARED: Mass vaccinations start in Alfaz on May 24 Photo credit: Alfaz town hall

ALFAZ’S senior citizens’ centre, the Hogar del Pensionista centre will be used as a mass vaccination centre.
The campaign begins on May 24 in line with the regional Health department’s timetable for age groups.
Dr Rosa Louis Cereceda, the managing director of the Marina Baja Hospital and also head of the Marina Baja Health Area, recently visited the centre, accompanied by Alfaz’s Health councillor Marisa Cortes and other Marina Baja health officials.
This was not the party’s first time in Alfaz as they have recently paid several visits to the Marina Alta, seeking the best locations for mass vaccination centres.
Meanwhile, the Health department stressed that all those wishing to be vaccinated should ensure that their health card (SIP) details are up-to-date as these will be used to contact them via telephone with the time and date for their vaccination.
Doubts can be cleared up on the 900 300 555 freephone number, at the health centre or  Alfaz’s Social Welfare department where they will explain how to update the SIP details.
