BENIDORM town hall has now launched its #BenidormMasCerca (BenidormNearer) initiative offering an hour’s free parking.
All residents and visitors spending more than €20 in a Benidorm shop, bar, restaurant or leisure centre will have the first hour subtracted from the total cost at the Tomas Ortuño, Marcado, Ametlla del Mar and Ruzafa car parks.
The scheme makes available 1,500 parking places and at the same time makes it easier – and cheaper – to shop or eat out in the centre of Benidorm or the Rincon de Loix.
To be eligible for the reduction drivers only need to present a bill or ticket for €20 or more from a participating business when entering the car park.

The Euro Weekly News is running a campaign to help reunite residents in Spain with family and friends by capping the cost of PCR tests for travel. Please help us to urge the UK government to cap the cost.
