ODD FELLOWS: Support social and charity projects Photo credit: Alfaz town hall
ODD FELLOWS COSTA BLANCA recently donated €500 to the Alfaz’s Social Volunteers group who run the local Food Bank. This is the third time that the Odd Fellows, the majority of whom are Norwegian residents, have collaborated with the Food Bank, presenting the cash to Social Volunteers president Antonio Viso and Other Residents and Cooperation councillors Martine Mertens and Isabel Muñoz. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows is an international organisation that was founded 200 hundred years ago in the UK and has been present for a century in Norway for the last century. The association now has a Costa Blanca branch, presided by Sissel Lillian Lundvall, which supports social and charity projects. Odd Fellows hope to be able to resume their weekly meetings next September, as many members are currently in Norway where they will be spending the summer.
