Youth activities return to Torreon de La Cala Beach

The fun returns to Torreon Beach in La Cala de Mijas this year.

Territory Youth will bring kayaking, paddle surfing, volleyball and many more activities to enjoy the sea and beach every Friday and Saturday in July and August, from 5pm to 8pm.
“Territory Youth comes this year loaded with news, among them we will have an application in which participants can register for free through their own mobile phone,” said the Councillor for Youth, Tamara Vera. The activities will be carried out by Exploramas, “a company from Mijas and a leader in all kinds of water activities.”
The minimum age to participate in these activities will be 8-years-old, who must be accompanied by an adult, and minors under 16-years-old will have to present an authorisation signed by one of their parents.
“Registration will be open every week from Wednesday to Friday until 12 noon and in our green booth, you will also be able to make your physical registration for the vacant places”, Vera emphasises.
Regarding the new app, Eva Rosado, from Exploramas, explains that it is “very intuitive, contains all the information about the minimum age and other details of the activities. Once inside, you select the date you want and the activity and it generates a QR code that you must present in the green booth of Playa del Torreon”.
The director of Exploramas, Manuel Araujo, hopes to repeat the success of last year where “1,300 people enjoyed these activities. This summer, at least the same figure is expected. We continue with the same security protocol and we will make the activity very fun and sustainable, which is very important,” he said.
