Tragedy as teen dies after being stabbed at least four times in Madrid tunnel on Calle Comercio.

Tragically an 18-year-old man died on Wednesday, July 14, in Spain’s Madrid. He had been stabbed at least four times when he was inside the tunnel which links Madrid’s Retiro and Arganzuela districts according to sources from Madrid emergency services.

The teen had been walking on the pavement and was heading to M-30 from the area of Ciudad de Barcelona. The shocking attack took place in the Calle Comercio tunnel at about 9 pm.

The teen was helped by two doctors who arrived in separate cars and who also alerted the Police. The boy had been discovered on the pavement bleeding. The two doctors attempted to resuscitate him until Samur-Proteccion Civil emergency services arrived.

The teen was in cardiorespiratory arrest and had suffered from a minimum of four stab wounds in his back. According to 20 minutes, doctors from the Samur-Proteccion Civil worked on the young man for over 30 minutes and carried out resuscitation manoeuvres. Sadly though they confirmed the man’s death despite their best efforts to revive him.

The young man lived locally, and a Samur psychologist was able to help his mother at the scene of the shocking attack. The Municipal Police of Madrid kept traffic closed in the tunnel in the direction of Retiro and also helped out medically.

The investigation into the shocking attack has now been taken over by Spain’s National Police.
