Nerja Town Council, through the Youth Council, has activated the Movida Attention Service (SAM) for the second consecutive year.

Nerja Town Council, through the Youth Council, has activated the Movida Attention Service (SAM) for the second consecutive year, “to inform and sensitise the youth of the municipality, among other issues, about the importance of compliance with preventive measures against the coronavirus, at this time when infections are increasing especially among the young population”, said the councillor for Youth, Daniel Rivas.
The SAM will become operational as of this weekend, from 10pm to 2am with a stand that will be installed in Plaza Tutti Frutti. It will be managed by members of the Malaga Civic Association for Prevention, who will also report on the consequences of the consumption of harmful substances, safe driving and sexuality.
The councillor has underlined that “the increase in coronavirus infections in recent days shows that it is essential to continue betting on this prevention service that we launch from the councillor for Youth.
“We intend to raise awareness among young people from Nerja and from Mareños to adopt a responsible attitude towards the virus, and understand that being young does not exempt you from infecting yourself, infecting others or ending up being admitted to a hospital”.
In addition to being present in the main nightlife area of the municipality, the service will be activated in specific events organised by the Council during the summer, such as the International Youth Day that is celebrated on August 12 in the la plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos.
