As football stadiums in all corners of the UK prepare to welcome back fans, BBC Radio 5 Live prepares to welcome back Premier League football to the airwaves.

Starting with newcomers Brentford v Arsenal on Friday 13 August, 5 Live will air over 140 live subscription-free games this season. With fixtures confirmed for the station until the end of September, the opening weeks include clashes like Spurs v Man City, Arsenal v Chelsea and Wolves v Man United.

Regular, simultaneous 3pm BST Saturday kick-offs return to the Premier League for the first time since early 2020. Following build up to the day’s football presented by Mark Chapman, 5 Live will provide an ‘around the grounds’ live goal update service, as well as full live coverage of a 3pm game. 5 Live Premier League Sunday, presented by Steve Crossman, will build up to live commentary of big Premier League matches every Sunday.

Live commentary team will be led by correspondent John Murray. He is joined by the likes of Ian Dennis, Alistair Bruce-Ball, Vicki Sparks, Conor McNamara and Seb Hutchinson. Pundits include Chris Sutton, Karen Carney, Dion Dublin, Rob Green, Clinton Morrison and Pat Nevin.

606 football phone-in returns following an incredibly eventful period during Euro 2020. Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton are reunited, taking fan calls and reacting to the latest results and developments within football. Expect drama, overreaching optimism and tragicomic pessimism – and that’s just from Robbie and Chris!

Alongside 606 is BBC Radio 5 Live’s home of fantasy football discussion, Fantasy 606. Hosted by Ali Bruce-Ball, Chris Sutton and Statman Dave, together they’ll talk FPL squads, tips and tables as they compete against each other in 5 Live’s very own FPL league.

The Monday Night Club, with Mark Chapman, Micah Richards, Chris Sutton and Rory Smith, returns on Monday 16 August (podcasts released Tuesdays), whilst the Friday Football Social, presented by Darren Fletcher and rolling co-presenters, will take a weekly look at the football landscape and look ahead to the weekend’s action.

Football Daily, which has already returned to BBC Sounds, is your daily go-to podcast for Premier League discussion this season. Presenters for this year include Mark Chapman, Kelly Cates, Steve Crossman, Darren Fletcher, Emma Saunders, Jeanette Kwakye, Aaron Paul and Ben Haines.

Football Daily will serve fans across the UK, with a different focus every day of the week. Saturday morning episodes will preview the weekend’s football, with Friday Football Social highlights. Sunday and Monday mornings will find Emma Saunders reviewing the weekend’s football.

Tuesday mornings will bring highlights from the previous evening’s Monday Night Club. Wednesday and Thursday will react to the day’s biggest football stories, as well as regular Champions League reaction. Then on Fridays, two podcasts will be available in weekly Football League and Euro League episodes.

Prior to the Premier League season kick-off, Football Daily will be releasing special ‘All About’ episodes dedicated to individual players and teams, including all of the newly promoted sides.
