The Guardia Civil of Traffic, National Police, Local Police and firefighters were immediately sent to the scene. Notice was also given to Infoca to warn that the blaze from the vehicle had affected an area of scrubland next to the gutter, however, this has not required attention. The Benalmadena Fire Department has confirmed that the fire is under control and the area from the gutter at the height of the Cable Car in Benalmadena has been affected – up to two metres from the houses near the sea. The DGT has communicated that the exit from Arroyo de la Miel towards Barcelona remains cut off due to the incident, La Opinion de Malaga reports. Update: As of 2pm this afternoon, the vehicle is still burning.
