ANDALUCIA’S ‘committee of experts’ is due to meet again this Tuesday, August 31, to decide whether to relax some of the coronavirus measures

Andalucia’s Advisory Council of High Impact Public Health Alerts, also known as the “committee of experts”, will reportedly meet this Tuesday to decide whether to relax some of the measures and restrictions against coronavirus in the community.

Juanma Moreno, the President of the Junta de Andalucia, acknowledged this week in Malaga that the data available so far “are indicating a significant improvement”, however, he has again asked for prudence, because “the battle against COVID is not won”, although reports did seem to indicate that the fifth wave seems to be beginning to be controlled.

The reduction in the incidence of covid in recent weeks allows some optimism in the face of the expert’s committee, “It seems that the worst of this fifth wave is passing. We are going to see if we can evolve, and if the data allow us, we will go to level 1, and capacity and spaces of freedom will also be expanded in culture”, explained Mr Moreno.

Insisting that the battle against Covid is not won, he appealed to the million remaining Andalucians who, “due to doubts, because of confusion, or because they are still thinking about it, have not been vaccinated, suggesting that they get vaccinated, that, “now they can do it”, as reported by diariosur.es.
