NERJA Council has announced it has awarded the tender to create a new library to company for €118,580.

The council said the company had been awarded the tender to create the Nerja library.
Nerja council held a meeting to adopt an agreement awarding the contract for the new municipal library to the team of the winning proposal of the competition, the MGM Arquitectos studio, for an amount of €118,580.
The agreement also includes the award of the two prizes with bonuses of €3,630 and €1,815 to two other companies.
The award, which will be published in the Profile of the Contractor of the City Council, will also be notified to the other bidders who have participated in the procedure, the members of the jury, as well as the Official College of Architects of Malaga and the Technical School of Architecture of Malaga.
The library will be in the centre of Nerja.  The council said that the new library will be in a building owned by the Jose del Peso Blanco Teaching Foundation and will measure 800 square metres, spread over several floors, offering children’s and general reading rooms and a newspaper library area.
The council has been looking for a company to create the library since earlier this year.
The contest to find a company to create the library attracted multiple entries with the council awarding prizes to many of those who took part.
