Trengo platform raises 31 million in funding and bets on Spain for growth in the future.

Trengo is a Dutch multinational communication platform and they have secured 31 million euros in funding from private equity firm Insight Partners and New York-based Peak.

The firm said: “The funding aims to accelerate international expansion in markets such as Spain, attract talent and drive further development of its technology-driven communications platform.”

Last year Trengo saw its customer base grow from 700 to 2000 customers. Their customers now include companies such as Europcar, Oppo and Yobbers.

The company has also grown employee wise, and they grew from 12 employees to 60 employees in space of only one year. The company commented that this new funding: “provides the organisation with a solid foundation to attract talent while increasing sales and development of its software.”

Patrick Meutzner, CEO and co-founder of Trengo commented that: “At Trengo, our goal is to break the status quo in the enterprise communication platform market. With this funding, we have even more capacity to strengthen our growth and power of innovation to help businesses and people around the world thrive”.

Trengo are known for their intuitive design and Whitney Bouck, Advisor at Insight Partners and COO of Dropbox/Hellosign said: “Trengo stands out for its collaborative interface and intuitive design. Their customers have adapted their communication platform perfectly and we see great potential in the company.”

As reported in Cinco Dias, “Founded in Utrecht in 2017, Trengo is now used in 60 countries. Insight Partners is a venture capital and private equity firm that invests in high-growth technology and software companies driving transformational change in their industries.”
