The Malaga Provincial Council will finance the construction of the new Municipal Library with a grant of €1 million.

The Malaga Provincial Council will finance the construction of the new Municipal Library, which will be located at Calle Iglesia nº1, with a grant of €1 million.
The mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, highlighted that “we are going to use this grant, that the provincial institution has included in its budget for our municipality, for the construction of this important cultural facility that we will build in the middle of the Balcon de Europe, the tourist heart of Nerja”.
The councillor thanked the president of the Malaga Provincial Council, Francisco Salado, for getting involved again with Nerja, allocating resources to carry out projects that improve the quality of infrastructure and public facilities that have a positive impact on the economy and encourages job creation in the town
Regarding the drafting of the construction project for the new Municipal Library, the mayor has reported that “it’s progressing, once the contract has been awarded to the winning team of architects Jose Morales, Maria de Lara and Sara de Giles. At the moment we are within the mandatory deadline prior to its formalisation”.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Municipal Plan of Infrastructures and Equipment for the Promotion of Local Employment, included in the Municipal Shock Plan in the face of the coronavirus crisis.
