RINCON DE LA VICTORIA Council has announced it is replacing the computers in the area´s elderly centres.


The new computers are part of a series of improvement works being carried out at elderly centres across Rincon de la Victoria.
Centres in La Cala del Moral, Rincon de la Victoria, Torre de Benagalbon and Benagalbon have all received the new equipment.
Councillor for the Elderly Elena Aguilar said: “The work has consisted of the installation of new computers, mice, screens, printers and keyboards in order to promote the digitisation of the elderly in Rincon de la Victoria.”
She added the council was introducing, “workshops funded by the council and which are taking place in our Centres for Active Participation of Seniors such as… an emotional intelligence workshop, intergenerational workshop and personal growth workshops, among others.”
The council has also been carrying out other improvement works to elderly centres across the area, including the installation of ultraviolet lamps and mosquito nets, cleaning and pruning of gardens, decorating the centres, and replacing signage marking them as a, ‘Centre for Active Participation for the Elderly.´
