Olympics Puerto Banus Marbella
Beach Olympics at Paradise Beach, Puerto Banús Saturday 9th October 2021.
We are just one day away from this year’s Beach Olympics, taking place this Saturday 9th October 2021 at 11:00 – 14:00 at Paradise Beach, Marbella, Spain. The event is FREE for spectators. The lucky beneficiary will be charity Collective Calling which works with children and parents in Spain and Tanzania to help tackle the route causes of poverty, provide immediate relief to the effects of poverty and help to create a vision towards prosperity.
Amongst the teams that will be taking part will be Feathers Studio, Sotogrande. Studio owner and Fitness Specialist, Arabella Featherstone, who is fast becoming ‘famous’ for her determined drive, has been encouraging her team by preparing them to reach a suitable fitness level over the past few weeks. It is determined that her team will play a major part in this event, not only to raise vital funds for the charity but to also expose the beautiful work it does.
Participants will be there for the good cause regardless of fitness levels, although there will be prizes.
Spectators and participating teams are advised to arrive earlier as the event organisers have a fun-filled, packed day arranged for both adults and children at both ends of the beach.
There will be great raffle prizes up for grabs, food and drink available to buy, as well as local chiringuitos on standby. Music will be by DJ Verox, who will be there live. There will be lots going on and a lot to learn!
Many kind-hearted and big name sponsors have come forward to support the event, although too many to mention here. They include CrossFit Marbella, who without the event could not take place as it has provided the equipment for the day and Olina Eriksson, who has very kindly tailored all the challenges for the event.
A great deal of kindness and hard work has gone into this initiative, so it is hoped that locals will offer their support. By simply coming along with their families to cheer on the dedicated work of all the participants, sponsors and volunteers, they will help to make this day a successful annual event.
