Train rape while passengers ‘watched and did nothing’. Shockingly a 35-year-old man was able to rape a woman on a train as passengers just watched. No one stepped in to help.

A man from Pennsylvania has been arrested for the rape of a woman. The alleged attack took place on public transport in the USA. Fellow passengers watched the attack unfold. They did nothing to help.

Police have identified Fiston Ngoy, 35, as the perpetrator of the alleged attack. The man was arrested at the scene of the incident. He had been caught on CCTV footage. The footage was used to identify him.

According to Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt, passengers on the train watched as the attack took place. Bernhardt said that it was a train employee who called the emergency services.

Officers from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority arrested Ngoy after the assault. Bernhardt has spoken out over the attack. He could not believe that people just watched and decided not to help.

He commented: “I have no words for it. I just can’t imagine seeing what you were seeing through your own eyes.”

Andrew Busch is a spokesperson for SEPTA. He said: “There were other people on the train who witnessed this horrific act, and it may have been stopped sooner if a rider called 911.”

He added: “SEPTA urges anyone who observes a crime being committed or any dangerous situation occurring to report it.”

The victim of the attack was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Ngoy has been charged with rape and assault.
