A shocking death has reportedly occurred on a Fuengirola beach.
According to Fuengirolasequeja, the shocking death happened on the Torreblanca beach. An elderly person was said to have been swimming in the sea.
Fuengirolasequeja commented on Facebook: “Today an elderly person was swimming at the beach in Torreblanca and presumably had a cardiac arrest. We called the ambulance (which took 20 minutes to arrive). Unfortunately, the man died about 40 minutes later.”
No further details are known at this time.
Other comments soon came in. One person commented: “This could be avoided if the Lifeguard Service were prolonged, but of course, it is something that concerns the Fuengirola Town Council …”
Another person also believes that the lifeguard service should be extended. They said: “It happened to me that I broke my arm on the beach in Fuengirola.
“They told my father that there were no ambulances and there was a lifeguard left but he kept looking. So a longer turn of lifeguard is needed.”
