THIRD WEDDING: Angela in her Sugar Plum Fair dress in another company’s production Photo credit:
WELL-KNOWN author Peter Quilter penned Duets, Javea Players’ next production, several years ago. Performed somewhere around the world every year, the plays focus on three couples, each in a very different situation, trying to come to terms with love and relationships. The first duet sees two people on yet another blind date, hoping against hope that this time there might be a spark between them. Can some sangria and sunshine mend the differences of the second couple holidaying in Spain, prior to finalising their divorce? The third duet comprises Angela, preparing to tie the knot for the third time, and her brother, Toby, who is horrified that she hasn’t yet learnt her lesson. He hates the Sugar Plum Fairy dress, the groom, the party, but only wants the best for her, really. Tickets are selling fast, so don’t miss this opportunity for an evening of laughter. Duets runs at Javea Players’ Studio Theatre from November 16-November 29, at 7.30pm. Tickets €12 are available only online.
