Teen charged with murder of five-year-old found dead in a river near his home.
A teenager who has not been named has been charged with the murder of Bridgend’s Logan Mwangi. Logan was also known as Logan Williams.
Tragically Logan was discovered dead in the Ogmore River. The river is near Bridgend’s Pandy Park. The body was discovered after police were alerted to a missing child.
Logan’s body was pulled from the water in late July. South Wales police have confirmed that a teenager has been charged with the murder.
Logan was reported missing from his home on Saturday, July 31. He was reported missing at 5:45am.
According to neighbours, the young boy’s body was found only a short time after his mum was heard anxiously screaming for him.
Tributes have been paid to the clever, funny boy on Facebook. One tribute read: “He was a beautiful boy. He was kind, funny, polite, handsome and clever. He is loved unconditionally and has unfortunately lost his life.”
Another tribute said: “Logan was the cutest kid, always smiling and a real bundle of energy.
“Everyone is in a complete state of shock, we just can’t make sense of what has happened.”
