Mijas Secrets upcoming events for Spring

Mijas Secrets have a new and exciting programme scheduled for the upcoming three months in collaboration with the Foreigner Department in Mijas.

On March 11 and 27, Mijas Secrets will be holding a Mijas Memories event to bring you back to the “old days” before tourism. The events are a tribute to Mijas and its people, a village on the crossroad between the past and the present. The tour will take you back to times when Mijas was still a small Andalucian village – only a few decades ago. This tour takes you to hidden streets and emblematic places, to observe the transformation of the village over the last 100 years.

The walks cost €15 each including a drink and will begin at 11am at the Tourist Information Office in Mijas Pueblo. Reserve your tickets via email to mijassecrets@gmail.com.

On April 10 and 17 Holy week and the exhibition of religious passion, devotion and exaltation will take place – one of the most emblematic and fascinating local festivities. This tour is a unique opportunity to learn more about the origins, the preparations, and the symbolism of the powerful holy images. On this special tour, you will visit places of religious worship and the houses of the brotherhoods to explore the mystery behind the passion of the Holy week.

The walks cost €15 each including a tasting of typical sweets and will begin at 11am at the Tourist Information Office in Mijas Pueblo. Reserve your tickets via email to mijassecrets@gmail.com.

On May 15 and 29, there will be a viticulture event giving people the chance to join a local artisan winemaker with a passion for organic farming. This tour includes a visit to a local artisan winemaker, where you will spend the morning on the beautiful vineyard and taste wine with “hometown terroir”.

Tickets cost €25 each, including wine tasting and tapas, and will begin at 11am at the Tourist Information Office in Mijas Pueblo. Reserve your tickets via email to mijassecrets@gmail.com.
