We asked our readers whether they thought essential workers should be made to get the vaccine – here’s the results.

After France suspended 3,000 health workers for not getting the jab and controversy over vaccine mandates in countries across the world, we asked our readers whether they thought essential workers should be made to get the vaccine?

52 per cent of our readers agreed that essential workers should be made to get their vaccinations. Many people believe that those who are working with vulnerable people or people at risk of getting seriously unwell from the virus should have to be vaccinated to protect those they come into contact with.

38 per cent disagree with essential workers being forced into getting the Covid vaccines, with many arguing that it is against human rights to force people to get a vaccination against their will, regardless of their career choice.

10 per cent of voters chose ‘other,’ indicating no opinion on the matter of mandatory vaccinations.
