‘Please help us’: Expat teacher stuck in Ukraine pleads for help.

The British expat teacher from Staffordshire had moved to Ukraine after he married his wife Alina. He has been living in Ukraine now for three years.

Harry Richardson took to social media to plead for help. The family has posted videos online.

Harry said: “Please help us, help the people and help the children.” He has called on people across the world to help. He believes that the sanctions put in place on Russia “are not enough”.

The family have been trying to stay safe. They have been sheltering each night in a location they hope is secure with Alina’s daughter and grandson.

Commenting on the horrifying war in Ukraine Harry said: “We just want you to hear us, to hear what we are going through. We cannot put into words our emotions, it is something you see on the television, in a film but you never think you will experience it.”

Alina also called for help. She said: “We are still strong but we really need your help. Please, please help us.”

As reported by the BBC, one of Harry’s friends in the UK commented on the terrifying attacks. She revealed: “He has told me he can hear the rockets going over and sounds of explosions in the distance and he is really scared,

“He is the most peaceful, kind man you could ever imagine and just to think he is in that environment, it is really terrifying.”
