Spanish tragedy after roof collapses in Madrid. A 55-year-old man has died.
According to the Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid, a 55-year-old man died on Wednesday, March 2. The man had fallen from the roof of a warehouse. The accident took place in Madrid’s Algete on the M-103 km 9.
At this point in the investigation, it is not certain why the man had been on the roof. The roof that the man had been on top of gave way. According to reports, the man fell several metres after the roof collapsed.
The emergency services in Madrid received a call shortly after 7pm. Paramedics were scrambled and medical services from Summa 112 rushed to the scene of the incident.
When the medics arrived on the scene they were able to reach the man and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres. Tragically they were not able to revive the man. The emergency services confirmed that the man died after the roof collapsed.
Officers from the Guardia Civil have begun an investigation into the fatality.
