The traditional ‘Brotherhood Fridays’ are back in Velez-Malaga in the run-up to Easter.

The Town Hall of Vélez-Málaga is once again collaborating with the youth organisation Peña La Troska on the thirteenth edition of the traditional ‘Brotherhood Fridays’ (Viernes Cofrades). The meetings will take place from March 4 to April 8, over Lent, at 10pm at the Peña La Troska headquarters in Velez.

The Councillor for Youth, J. Hipólito Gómez, and Rafael Ruiz, a member of the Peña La Troska organisation, presented the initiative. J. Hipólito Gómez described the ‘Brotherhood Fridays’ as “a magnificent prelude to our Holy Week” as they “provide experiences and information that help us to enhance and learn more about our history, our traditions, the heritage of our city and Holy Week in Velez.”
