Nerja has installed new underground rubbish and recycling bins on Burriana beach that use more modern technology.
The new underground rubbish and recycling bins on Burriana beach in Nerja came into service on April 11 upon completion of the works carried out to replace the previous equipment, which had been out of service.
The Nerja Town Hall has once again committed to improving the environmental quality and image of Burriana beach for the benefit of residents, business owners and tourists.
The new underground rubbish bins are located at four ecological points along the promenade, with a total of 34 bins that are more modern and use more energy-efficient machinery than the previous ones.
The works had an investment of 225,967.50 euros, funded by the Ministry of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía through a grant for environmental recovery and sustainable use of beaches.
