The kitchen service at Axarquia Hospital offered patients a special Easter menu with a variety of traditional dishes from the Mediterranean.

The kitchen service at Axarquia Hospital, which is part of the Health Management Area of East Malaga-Axarquia, prepared a special menu for the Easter festivities. The menu was based on the typical food from the Axarquia region, Easter traditions and the Mediterranean diet.

The aim was to offer patients the possibility of choosing from a menu with special dishes while making their stay at the hospital as pleasant as possible. The kitchen staff prepared a menu that included dishes such as stew, hake and torrijas (French toast), with adaptations for special dietary requirements or intolerances as necessary.

The kitchen unit at Axarquia Hospital is made up of two directors, six cooks, thirty-four kitchen helpers and a dietician. In terms of their daily activity, last year they served a total of 54,000 menus, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner.
