SAD news coming out of Los Angeles, USA after it was revealed that comedian Teddy Ray has died aged 32.

Fans and comedians have paid tribute to Teddy Ray following news of his death on Friday, August 12 (local time).

Ray most notably performed on Comedy Central Colossal Clusterfest but was well known for internet skits and appearances on Russell Simmons’ digital comedy stream All Def Digital.

Teddy joined season 8 of MTV’s Wild N’ Out and often toured with comedic acts such as Russell Peters, David Spade and Katt Williams.

Jamie Foxx and T-Pain publicly admitted that Ray was their favourite comedian.

Tributes flooded social media following the young comedian’s death.

Comedy Central wrote: “Teddy Ray was a hilarious and beloved performer. He’ll be deeply missed by the entire comedy community.”

One person wrote: “Teddy Ray is one of the reasons I felt comfortable getting up on stage back in March. Channelled him as I got a crowd of Hollywood ppl to quote Too Short. Rest easy man. You’ll be hella missed.”

“Teddy Ray gave us “You 36”. “You are GOOD”. “Double cheeked up”… These are staples in the culture. Bro is gonna live forever. Rest in peace,” another person said.

Another said: “Teddy Ray the funniest so effortlessly. You will be missed.”

Jessica Michelle Singleton wrote: “Teddy Ray was one of my first comedy friends. He was pure joy and treated me like family. He made me laugh until I cried regularly, effortlessly. His energy was infectious.

“Every second I spent with him was magical and I’m so grateful. I will miss him for the rest of my life.❤️”

Another said: “Double cheeked up on a Thursday afternoon 😔. RIP Teddy Ray ☹️”
