Costa Blanca’s Benidorm Town Hall begins the second phase of the delivery of the ‘Citizen’s Card’.

Tuesday, August 16 at 9.00 is when the second phase of the delivery of the ‘Citizen Card’ to all persons over 65 years registered in Benidorm who request it will begin, Onda Cero has confirmed.

It is a credit card-sized card with a credit of €10 for the use of public transport, although later on new uses and municipal services will be added to the scheme.

Once the €10 has been used, there is no expiry date, the card can then be recharged.

The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Perez, said that the creation of this card has a twofold objective: “to modernise the services provided to the registered population and to encourage and promote the use of public transport by offering advantageous conditions”.

In fact, it is one of the measures included in the ‘Benidorm + Cerca’ programme, for which the council has received a grant of €1.1M from the Ministry of Mobility, Transport and Urban Agenda.
