Ukrainian forces destroy last remaining bridge used by Russian military in Kherson region

Share

The Ukrainian military has reportedly destroyed the last remaining bridge over which Russian troops transferred their equipment to the Kherson region.

As reported on Friday, August 12, the fourth and final remaining bridge in the Kherson region, which the Russian troops used to transfer their equipment to the right bank, has been destroyed by the Ukrainian military. This was announced by Serhii Khlan, deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, on his official Facebook profile, according to censor.net.

“Today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine targeted the last – the fourth bridge that connected the Right and Left banks. That is, the Russians no longer have any opportunity to completely transfer their equipment. Of course, they will try to repair it, look for an alternative in crossings, but it takes time, money, and then as soon as they prepare and gather equipment and strength, we will destroy it again”, wrote Khlan.

According to the deputy, the Russian troops on the front line are now cut off not only from their supply of weapons and heavy equipment but also from food.

He also suggested that the occupiers are afraid, and are preparing for a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces: “Hedgehogs were sent to Kherson, but wooden ones, which in principle symbolises their essence – all fakes and productions. They increased the pressure on the townspeople – at night they conducted searches and detained people”.

Khlan added that: “The partisans remind again that the passport of the Russian Federation is not a document, but a fake that turns you into subhumans, besides, it is a reason to mobilise into the enemy’s army for certain death. But intelligence warns that there will be a responsibility for obtaining a passport because this is cooperation with the aggressor”.
