Costa del Sol Property Market Still Going Strong - Overseas Dreams. Image - Shutterstock
I’ve got to say, it gives me great satisfaction seeing lots of our clients that purchased earlier in the year, enjoying their first family vacation in their fabulous new holiday homes. Some clients, however, opted to rent out their properties between June to September to subsidise their yearly mortgage payments/costs, so they will get to enjoy their property during the off-peak seasons, which is still a great idea because the winter here is better than a typical British summer.
The Costa del Sol has long been a firm favourite holiday destination for most Europeans due to the glorious year-round weather conditions. With 320+ sunshine days a year the coast offers the best climate in Europe, if not the world. June to August are the hottest months, with clear blue cloudless skies and average temperatures of 27 to 32°C, with a Mediterranean breeze offering welcome relief along the coast. May & September offer perfect summer weather with fewer tourists, making for a more relaxed Mediterranean holiday. The coolest month is normally January at around 12-14°C, with October to May offering perfect conditions for golfers. The Costa del Sol is one of the top destinations for hundreds of thousands of Northern European golfers each and every year.
The building trade is definitely flourishing again and we have exciting brand new developments available all over the coast, especially in; La Cala de Mijas, Nueva Andalucia and Estepona/Casares. La Cala de Mijas seems to be one of the favourite areas at the moment, a real little gem of a beach town which is fast becoming one of the Costa del Sol’s property hot spots. We have new luxury developments being built with the latest specifications and quality fixtures, all within easy walking distance to the centre of the main La Cala Boulevard, shops, bars, restaurants and beach. We have them at various stages of construction with completions from 1-2 years.
