A missile strike fired by Ukraine has allegedly hit Galaktika shopping centre in Donetsk, as reported on Wednesday, August 24.

The alleged missile strike by Ukraine on a shopping centre in Russian-occupied Donetsk was reported by the “Mayor” Oleksiy Kulemzin on his official Telegram.

 The missile strike reportedly directly hit the Galaktika shopping centre in the Shiroky, micro district.

Information about the victims and the size of the collapse is being clarified.

Footage of the incident was shared on Twitter 

“🇷🇺 The #Galaktika shopping centre in #Donetsk is on fire.”

“The Ukrainian army struck a Russian base in the Donetsk region.”

“Artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a structure in the city of Donetsk. Local sources say that the structure is the Donetsk hypermarket Galaktika.”

“With new images, it has been confirmed that the place hit by the Ukrainian Army is the Galaktika Hypermarket. Teams intervene in the fire in the supermarket.”

The news of a missile strike by Ukraine on a shopping centre in Donetsk follows reports of the Russian-appointed head of the Zaporizhzhia regional state administration, Ivan Sushko, being killed, as reported by member of the Zaporizhzhya regional state administration’s main council, Volodymyr Rogov, on Wednesday, August 24.
