Two children in critical condition after jumping from flat fire in Badalona, Spain

Two children have reportedly been injured after jumping from a flat fire in Badalona, Spain, that took place on the morning of Wednesday, August 24.

The Fire Service of Catalonia took to Twitter to share the news of the flat fire in Badalona, Spain, stating:

“We are working to extinguish a fire in a flat on Quevedo street in Badalona (report 09.26h). 8 fire crews have been deployed. The fire is confined and there is no danger of vertical or horizontal spread.
According to the latest information, 2 people have been injured.”

“The fire in Badalona has now been extinguished. Effectively we have ventilated and checked the whole building and the crews are now leaving the park.”

“According to  @semgencat two people are critically injured and one has suffered less serious injuries. Crews from the Fire Service, Police Service and Medical Service rushed to the scene.”

The Medical Emergency Service tweeted:

“For this fire in #Badalona , finally there have been 3 affected: 1 critical transferred to
@hgermanstrias, 1 critical in @vallhebron 1 less serious in H. Municipal Badalona.
10 #SEM ground units have been activated, team of psychologists and 1 joint team.
@bomberscat y @semgencat.

The news follows reports of a flat fire in Elche, Spain, that left three firefighters injured after they evacuated the building, saving the lives of those inside, as reported on Monday, August 15.
