Visitors to Almuñecar will be able to learn all about the rich heritage of the area with the click of a button thanks to the new Aumentur smart tourism platform.
On August 29, the deputy mayor for Tourism of Almuñecar, Daniel Barbero, the councillor for Culture, Alberto García Gilabert, and the representative of the Granada-based company Aumentur, Luis Melero, presented the new smart tourism platform, which is financed through the European Next Generation funds as part of the Sustainable Tourism Plan.
“At the Almuñecar-La Herradura Tourism Board, we asked ourselves how we could attract new visitors, become a smart tourism destination, have a multimedia guide to our heritage and historical attractions and offer all this information to everyone in an easy and sustainable way. We believe that the Aumentur platform is the solution,” said Barbero.
The platform offers information that can be read and listened to in five different languages (Spanish, English, French, German and Swedish). With the click of a button, people can learn all about the history of Almuñecar and the rich legacy left by the different civilizations that have passed through it.
