How sad it is of the sudden death of our Queen, as someone who will be 70 in February next year and for someone who has sat on our throne for the same amount of time I feel rather humble, also watching her coffin on TV leaving Buckingham Palace for the journey to Westminster Hall at precisely 2.22 the date of my birthday made me feel even more humble, and having served her majesty for 38 years as a Paramedic in the NHS and receiving my long service medals etc…

So, the hugely overpaid seat warmers in government advise that we cannot yet again afford to give those parasitic pensioners a decent rise just because they paid 35 to 40 years for those pensions? Sunak threw away billions so well-off people could eat and drink out cheaper at the far too many such places who are now saying they will go under unless the government chucks a few hundred billion more their way.
Britain has probably the worst state pensioners of any western nation, even when they quote the higher figure when most like me get the pittance lower figure. And they want it even lower so heat or eat becomes “die you old b******s”………

Over many years we have enjoyed and appreciated the provision of your paper. Sadly we were disappointed with the politically biased article by David Warboys titled “The Sad legacy for the Uk”.
If you do not endorse the article then why print it?
