Costa Press Club celebrated 20th Anniversary Credit: Karl Smallman
Although the guest speaker, Isambard Wilkinson Spanish Correspondent for The Times was taken ill shortly before the event and was unable to attend, the evening was an undoubted success.
A number of representatives of different charities were present and chatted with the many members of the Costa del Sol Foreign Journalists Association (as the club is officially known) who turned out in force.
Drinks and canapes were served on the terrace of the restaurant whilst guests were entertained by singer Rocío Starry and then moved into the restaurant for the remainder of their meal.
There was a short speech by Club President Jesper Sander Pedersen, who welcomed Elena Blanco, President of the Asociación de la Prensa de Málaga (APM), and staff from the Faculty of Journalism at Málaga University before speaking about the history of the Club and thanked all of those who had been involved with it over the years.
There was also a raffle with every attendee receiving two free tickets hoping to win one of the many superb prizes donated by a number of local businesses.
