The Association of Hotel Businessmen of the Costa del Sol (AEHCS) predicts good data for October (above 75 per cent) and November (65 per cent), which are usually months of lower influx.
The Councillor for Tourism, Rodrigo Romero, said: “It is evident that Fuengirola has established itself as a first-rate tourist reference. A place demanded by many people to spend their holidays due to that image of a cheerful, cosmopolitan, modern, festive city with the highest quality of life, which is embodied in what we all know as the Fuengirola Brand.”
“That is possible thanks to the efforts of all Fuengirolenos and all the local economic sectors. This is a success for all of us that should encourage us to continue progressing and continue to consolidate ourselves as a top-level tourist power, the councillor added.
Fuengirola has a hotel fleet of 43 establishments, including hotels and hostels which offer a total of 1,079 beds throughout the city.
