Average price of electricity in Spain rises again slightly on Thursday, November 10

On Thursday, November 10, the average price of electricity in Spain rises again by 8.6 per cent.

The average price of electricity for regulated rate customers linked to the wholesale market in Spain will rise by 8.6 per cent on Thursday, November 10, compared to this Wednesday 9. Specifically, it will stand at €150.95/MWh.

According to provisional data from the operator of the Iberian Energy Market (OMIE), in the auction, the average price of electricity in the wholesale market – the so-called ‘pool’ – will be €134.78/MWh tomorrow.

Thursday’s maximum price will be registered between 7pm and 8pm, at €199.39 euros, while the minimum for the day, of €105.63 euros, will be between 4am and 5am.

Added to this pool price is the compensation to the gas companies of €16.17/MWh, which must be paid by the consumers who benefit from the measure, the consumers of the regulated tariff (PVPC), or those who, despite being in the free market, have an indexed rate or they have to renew their contract.
