The singer is currently on tour with his Marry Me Tour and is performing to packed audiences around the UK.
During the concert, Mur became serious when he told fans that losing Caroline Flack was one of the “toughest” things he had been through. Caroline was Olly Murs’s co-host in Xtra Factor, but she took her own life in February 2020 aged forty.
He then began to cry and urged people in the audience to reach out to anyone struggling as he regrets “not being there” for Ms Flack.
He then went on to dedicate the famous Neil Diamond song, Sweet Caroline as a large screen behind him showed photos of the late TV star.
Before singing the song he told the audience: “Like I said earlier, it’s been an incredible four or five years and I know it’s been a really tough, crazy four or five years for every single one of you in the room, and it’s going to be hard for me to do this but in 2020 I lost a very good friend of mine, someone that I love very much.”
2Her name is Caroline Flack and it is one of the toughest things that has happened in my life and it is really sad to see someone so amazing leave us, but she has never left and is always in my heart.”
He then went on to say that at every gig he does for the rest of his career he will always dedicate a song to Caroline.
As he sang the audience lit up the O2 with flashlights from their mobile phones.
