LA CALA Lions marked their momentous 25th anniversary with a fabulous celebration at The Green Label Restaurant last weekend.

The Lions came together for their special Charter Night, held on Saturday, June 17 at the restaurant at El Chaparral Golf Club, Mijas.

Organised by the group’s Social Secretary, Dave Greenwood, the event was filled with joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of achievement. Charter Night was particularly special, as the Lions acknowledged their induction into the globally-renowned service organisation, the Lions Association.

Over the past quarter-century, the La Cala Lions have demonstrated unwavering commitment, to the cause raising an astounding €1.4 million to support those in need both locally and globally.

Under the exceptional leadership of current President Wynson Beswick, La Cala Lions have made an impact on countless lives. As her term comes to a close, Wynson warmly welcomed Brenda Meredith as the incoming President.

In a surprise announcement, Wynson announced a donation of €5,000 for DRANG, to support their exceptional work with local disabled children. Antonio and Gisella, the founders, gratefully accepted the Lions’ contribution, aiming to expand their impact.
