A celebration of resilience and honour, the Moors and Christians festivity is coming to an end in Javea, with only a few events left to attend.

The Moors and Christians festival transports locals and visitors to the great battle of 1538, celebrating faith, strength and community in vibrant colours and music all across Spain.

July 19 

12pm Charanga performance by Fila Almoradins in the streets of Duanes de la Mar.

9pm Reenactment of the battle of the Moors and Christians at the Playa de la Grava.

9.30pm Reenactment of the Embassy and Reconquest of the Castle by the Christian side at Paseo Jaime 1.

July 20 

10am Children´s water gymnastics at Paseo Jaime 1, followed by treats of fresh ice cream and smoothies at 10.30am. 

11.45am Parade with the festival´s officials and Moors and Christians Festival Board through the Duanes de la Mar. 

7.30pm Gala Parade at the Duanes de la Mar.

July 21 

11.15am Parade from the Duanes de la Mar to the parish temple. 

12pm Solemn mass in honour of Saint James.

1pm Charanga performance at the Duanes de la Mar. 

6pm Entry of music bands in Paseo Jaime 1.

7pm Final gala parade through Paseo Jaime 1.
