A new franchise retailer has come to Albox, offering up to 6,000 products and continuous discounts.
With more than 2,600 shops spread across 12 European countries, Action has now opened its first establishment in the province of Almeria.
Action started as a small store 30 years ago in the Netherlands, and has since grown to become Europe’s fastest-growing non-food discounter.
The franchise boasts more than 17 million weekly customers and now includes Albox in its roster.
On August 8, Albox opened its doors to the Albox community, in the municipality of Valle del Almanzora on Avenida Febrero 28, as the first and currently only in the province.
From Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 10 pm, Albox residents and locals in the Almeria province will be able to enjoy the ‘Action Formula’; 6,000 high-quality products, spread across 14 different categories, ranging from toys and crafts to household products and gardening and more, at the “unbeatable prices”, according to the organisation.
David Bella Villanueva, the General Manager of Action in Spain said in a statement about the new opening “It stands out for being the first in the Andalusian community” adding that “We continue to reinforce our commitment to bring this unique Action experience to the greatest number of people in Spain. All of this would not be possible without the effort of all our teams.”
Action also promises to introduce 150 new products every week, ensuring a relevant assortment that meets all kinds of needs for all its customers, offering 1,500 items for less than €1 and more than two-thirds for less than €2.
Residents from Albox have already started to enjoy what Action has to offer, taking to social media to share their joy.
One resident stated, “Action is a fantastic shop, we always go to the one in Murcia. For sure (Albox) will always be busy”.
Another resident also complimented the stock as well as the staff, saying “Got some great stuff today, brilliant prices and friendly staff”.
The discount store is continuing to expand throughout Spain, simultaneously opening a store in the capital of Madrid. That store is located in the centre of the capital, while there are other action stores in the province, and brings the total number of Action stores in Spain up to four.
An added benefit of Action stores is it’s drive for sustainability. 100 per cent of Action’s cotton products and 94 per cent of Action’s wood products are sustainably sourced. Action hopes to reach its goal of sourcing 100% of its wood products sustainably by the end of 2024.
