Hopefully consideration has been given to the likely impact of the current approximate 1.2 million applicants in the health care sector, which has definitely stretched to cope over the last year or so when compared to 5/6 years ago.

To be honest the only people who really benefited from the Best By Dates were the actual supermarkets. Most products are absolutely safe to eat long after their so called Best by Date but of course caution is still required. My wife is always checking these dates and we always end up having a dispute but I usually win as I am the person that will eat the product. I would like to think that most sensible people will know if a product is fit to eat because the cost in food waste in absolutely immense and the only winner is the supermarket.

It’s been an implementation fiasco in so many airports, yet the EU commissioners, worshipped by so many, see no problems and presumably think that if they say it is all working fine enough times, then it will. There should be NO passengers missing their flights – to claim they have to keep consistency across Europe while still happily letting in millions of undocumented illegal migrants is the height of gaslighting.

It’s irrelevant. Britain is saying it is happy to issue a passport to it’s citizen for a set period of time. This should not give the right to the EU to decide it will override UK decisions on its own citizens. If it was the other way round and the UK was refusing entry to EU citizens for similar reasons no doubt everyone on the left would be up in arms about it.

It certainly took a long time to discover!!

I always have deep misgivings when long-ago ‘events’ are ‘uncovered’.
Especially in the World of Politics.

Maybe if they had tried really harder they might find out that Pedro Sánchez’s cousin, but twice removed, snuck out of school 10 minutes early, just 30 years ago.
Or perhaps his cousin, but five times removed, stole another kid’s pack lunch in Nursery School when his Mom had given him Tuna Sandwiches, AGAIN, an equally impressive time ago!

All this Petty Stuff shows that Sánchez’s Enemies are digging creatively deep.
So obviously he’s running Spain too well for their liking.

As Cati suggests, its just all too Trumpesque to be taken seriously!!
And Cati points the way ahead, just follow the money…

Follow the money… This is a very Trumpian way of attacking political enemies. Trump and his cronies are using money to influence European politics. Spain has done very well under Sanchez (who Trump hates) and is prospering when the US, the UK and many other countries are struggling. There is a push to right wing politics in the US, UK and Europe. What bright people will do is investigate, and always follow the money trail. The US, its cronies in Europe, like Viktor Orbán (ousted corrupt PM of Hungary). Putin likes his money-games too… … ….

You have to ask: would these people have died soon anyway, in another situation? Frail people die of heart attacks, they sometimes die in their sleep, sometimes in the street. The death was obviously imminent, so being in water might not actually have anything to do with it. It’s scandalous sometimes what these booking platforms get away with. Last year I booked a flight from Malaga to Madrid but I was unable to travel as I had an accident and was in hospital with multiple broken ribs. The hospital prepared detailed documentation confirming that I couldn’t travel and we submitted it well in advance to the company we booked with. It took them SEVEN months to process the refund, although I kept emailing them every month to find out what was happening. And you know how much they refunded me in the end? 6 euros!!!

The wildfires were entirely predictable. An unusually wet winter has promoted plant growth & with the arrival of summer the hot weather has dried the undergrowth into a tinderbox.
What you’re seeing is actually a natural cycle. The undergrowth burns off, clearing the ground & returning nutrients to the soil. The trees are more fire resistant & survive. To avoid the fires the land would have to be managed. The undergrowth cleared. One factor nowadays is the almost total absence of goats. The Spanish used to keep goats which would graze the undergrowth down. Go anywhere where there are goats & you see the difference. The ground between the trees is stripped bare. Another factor is the encouragement of vegetation to grow up close to houses. Particularly vegetation that isn’t fire resistant. Particularly imported species which evolved to burn as part of their natural lifecycle. So fires have gone from being a natural nuisance to being a danger. In the past the Spanish would never have let plants grow right up to their houses. The area around them was always grazed clean. These days people don’t understand the land they live on.

Thank god for Brexit, I found that all the Remainers are only interested it the fact that their travelling plans have been disrupted because they too are now 3rd world citizens. I have yet too meet a Remainer who actually believes the EU is doing a good job. However the fact remains that it really does not make any difference to anyone if your passport was extended by 12 month or 24 month. That is the reality of the situation. But sadly people have made a stupid rule and it is not only an EU issue. And yes you really need to be aware of these issues. With all the computers that border control has they already know your passport has been issued legally but the best way to travel and avoid all the immigration hassle is to get into a rubber dingy and motor across the Channel, you don´t even need a passport or money or a credit card, it must be OK because millions of people have done it.

For the avoidance of doubt, these are not ‘new EU rules’ – they were decided while the UK was in the European Union, with UK acceptance. Since the UK left the EU and became a “third-country national”, the Schengen Area regulations now require British passports to have at least three months of validity remaining on the day you plan to leave the EU. Furthermore, the passport must be less than 10 years old on the date of your arrival. You wanted Brexit, then you have to abide by the rules assigned to the “Third Country Nationals”, you are no longer “European Citizens”. Learn the rules and stop whinging.
