Arriving early does not always help if you are checking a bag as the bag drop doesn’t open till 2 hours before the flight, not the gate closing time, on some flights this leaves only 1 1/2 hours. Add to the waiting to check you bag, that’s another 1/2 hour, this is all before you get to security which can take 1/2 hour, you are now down to only 1/2 hour for immigration which is never enough.

Why is it Islamist’s refuse to adapt to their new country’s culture and instead wish to force their culture on everyone else no matter where they live?

This was, like many others, leaving from a Schengen Airport TO the UK. 95% therefore will have completed EES on the inward flight and be on the EES system.
They are all using the new, high speed automated superior system devised by Brussels to reduce Border queues. Badly devised, awfully implemented, but they can’t scrap it now or they will be a laughing stock.
We went to Spain,a small airport, and EES registration was completed efficiently and quickly – then we went to the booth where the Border Guard stamped our passports. Laughable.

I genuinely hope Spain follow through on this because without a doubt these credit cards are a complete rip off. The interest rates are just grand theft. Yes I know people don´t pay bills and there is fraud but the profits these companies make is ridiculous

What is missed out from this study are the costs associated with Visa and Residency Card Renewals (Renewal Application Fees, Translation Fees, Legal Fees if you use a Gestor, Photocopying of Documents), but probably more importantly the Tax implications. For example, whilst there is a ‘No Double Tax Agreement’ this is not as straightforward as it may sound. for example, Interest earned on Savings in the UK gets taxed twice, HMRC take their share and the Spanish Tax Agency also tax you on that same Interest. Some Expats do not realise that whilst the UK State Prnsion is a UK issued income, under the ‘No Double Tax Agreement’, it is the Spanish that take the tax (At a higher rate than in the UK) and you have to claim back any tax taken by HMRC, but this is not straightforward either as even if you are registered as Tax Resident in Spain, the Spanish will not issue you a Certificate until you prove you live in Spain (Costs more money) and you cannot claim your refund from HMRC until you have this Certificate. Whilst Spain will not tax you on ‘some’ UK Generated Incomes (Government Pensions), they still use all your Global Incomes to assess your Spanish Tax Liability. This all adds up to an Expats Cost Of Living in Spain.

Every year here on the Costa Blanca we lose thousands of tonnes of sand from the beaches and in many cases this could be prevented but I believe no action is taken because they don´t want to spend the money. They love the tourist money but they don´t want to spend it on fixing the problems. I am an engineer and I know what to do and so do every other engineer. But we have the wacko environmentalists who say there is a unique worm that cannot be disturbed so no action is taken, utter nonsense, fix the problem, spend the money.

I think naturally airlines would love alcohol to be banned at airports so they can charge you an exorbitant amount to have some on board. Which is already the case.
A system where tickets are issued for a maximum of two drinks at the airport would be a fairer system to work on.

im an immigrant in this country… Im English (of mixed race) and i moved here almost 33 years ago, no one gave me anything…. i had to find a job, get an NIE number, get my Residency, pay my taxes etc, get my T.I.E card and do it all myslef !!! No free hand outs .. NOTHING !! I have my own business and pay a mountain of taxes to pay towards the upkeep of these immigrants… yet if it all went wrong for me and i had to go back to the UK i would GET NOTHING…. no housing…. no monies… no mobile phones…. no electric scooters no free food…… its all just wrong … 🙁
