Hull Geography students visit Almeria

IMGP3052_web

STUDENTS from the second year of Geography at Hull University recently visited Almeria. For decades the area has been considered ideal to understand the movement of tectonic plaques and to study how the pressure of the African continent on the European continent has formed the province as it is today.

Almeria is ideal for observing how the Earth’s surface has evolved in the past 50 million years, with marine sedimentation, tsunamis, volcanoes and remains of the creatures which have inhabited the planet.
