SIX people have been charged for their alleged involvement in the death of a 66-year-old businessman in Algeciras, Cadiz. His body was found tied to his bed with socks in his mouth which caused him to choke.
He was found after two high-range vehicles, an Audi and a Mercedes, fled from a routine Guardia Civil vehicle checkpoint in Los Barrios, Cadiz. The Guardia Civil caught up with the Audi, occupied by two young men who revealed the identity of the two occupants of the other car, one of which was an underage girl. All four were arrested and the officers discovered that the vehicles were registered in Algeciras.
They contacted the Local Police who visited the owner’s house after getting no response to phone calls they had made to inform him that his vehicles had been found.
A friend opened the door to the property and the body was discovered. The house had been searched for valuable objects, although it appears the victim opened the door to the attackers so it was possible he knew at least one of them.
The National Police took over the investigation and two other minors were arrested later. The six people involved are all friends or relatives.
