Feria fireworks spark massive fire

FERIA fireworks started the fire that burned 2.5 hectares of land in Benalmadena. According to local government sources, the pyrotechnics company that had been consulted before the show had assured that the weather conditions were perfect for fireworks. However, the Virgen de la Cruz fair celebration fireworks sparked an hour and a half long blaze just past midnight close to a residential area. Fifteen homes were evacuated to insure the safety of their occupants. Firemen managed to contain the fire before reaching properties in the area.
