Auction boost for charities

THE Mira Bar Restaurant just outside Calpe was the setting for a charity auction in aid of MABS cancer charity and a local animal welfare group.

Local volunteers made a selection of homemade cakes which were on sale throughout the afternoon.
The event raised 573 euros which will be divided between the two charities, and the Alta Mira bar would like to thank the many friends and customers who helped make the event such a success.

The total raised for charity so far this year is more than 1,700 euros and the bar is already planning its annual Christmas Hamper Raffle and hopes to take to total to over 2,000 euros for 2012.
