Injured Cesc Fabregas
After all the controversy that was surrounding Cesc Fabregas and his move to Manchester United, he now cannot play for his own country against Ecuador in their next friendly.
He arrived to Barcelona for a medical examination and it confirmed that he has sprained the lateral collateral ligaments in his right ankle. The team contacted the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to advice them that Fabregas would not be playing for Spain against Ecuador in the friendly so he can recover.
Reportedly, Vicente Del Bosque, the coach for ‘La Roja’ will not be calling a replacement which means that only 20 players will be travelling to Ecuador next week. If the injury continues, Fabregas could miss the teams opening game against Levante at Camp Nou.
