FOUR people were arrested by Guardia Civil in Madrid and another was charged for allegedly stealing money from drug traffickers using violent methods.
A group was laundering large sums of money from drugs brought into Spain, changing smaller denomination notes for €200 and €500 notes which were later sent to South America.
Those arrested offered to help them launder the money, but when they arrived at the agreed meeting place they identified themselves as ‘police’, carrying firearms, and using violence, stole the money the drug dealers had brought with them
