Arnold Schwarzenegger invites fans to fly to LA to ride in a tank and “crush things” with him

Fans can enter a competition to ride with Schwarzenegger in his tank

The former California governor has posted a YouTube video showing him driving the M47 Patton tank over a range of items including a taxi cab, piano, weight bench and 66 Birthday cakes – one for every one of his birthdays.

The wrecking spree is all in the name of charity as it aims to raise awareness of the American After-School All-Stars programme, which is designed to provide extra learning opportunities for children.

Set to the Eurythmics’ song Sweet Dreams Are Made of This, the video opens with Schwarzenegger declaring: “After hard work, labouring and slaving away, I finally have achieved my lifelong dream… to finally possess my own ****ing tank!”

“I’m going to crush a copy of Million Dollar Baby because it makes me cry,” he says as the Rocky theme tune plays. “Haha! I don’t cry.”

He then asks viewers to donate to the programme.

Fans can enter a competition to ride with Schwarzenegger in his tank.

According to Omaze website, the competition winners will “crush something together, work out together, smoke cigars together” and “live like Arnold for a day”.

The site offers “once-in-a-lifetime experiences that also support social missions”.

Schwarzenegger asks viewers: “What are you waiting for? Come to Los Angeles, let’s go around and crush things with a tank.”
